PIGEON FORGE, TN DOLLYWOOD THEME PARK

Unique as its namesake Dolly Parton, Dollywood theme park is a one-of-a-kind Smoky Mountain Family Adventure! Spanning 125 acres and nestled in the lush foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Dollywood is one of the most popular family vacation destinations. There are thrilling to spectacular amusement park rides including the award-winning wooden roller coaster "The Thunderhead" - the wildest ride in the woods. Dave and I rode every rollercoaster there was to ride. Gavin enjoyed all the kiddie rides as well.

Dollywood was decked out for fall, including this cool pumpkin tree.

Gavin is a little critter.

"Blazing Fury" was a rollercoaster inside this building IN THE DARK. I didn't think we should take Gavin on this ride, but Dave said, "oh, he will be okay it's not scary". Yeah right!! I was a little freaked out and thought we had scarred Gavin for life, but suprisingly he loved it. Apparently the dark, fire, screaming, scary noises and drop off's didn't phase him. Yikes.
Notice Bud in the "HERS" shower. Typical.

Gavin taking dad cruising for chicks.

This was a brand new ride where we had water guns on the boat, but then people around the decks could spray us too. We got totally wet, wet, wet. After the ride, there is a family dryer. Basically you stand inside this closet size building, put some money in the slot and the largest air dryer known to man drys your hair, clothes and everything else.

After all the fun we had to stop at the homemade ice-cream shoppe. Yum, yum!
